Lane Hits Ninth Home Run

C.J. Wilson had four hits, including two doubles and scored four runs and Richard Lane hit his Orange County-leading ninth home run as Santa Ana beat visiting Bakersfield, 9-2, in a Casey Stengel tournament baseball game Sunday.

Lane, a freshman center fielder, finished the four-game tournament 11 for 19 with four home runs and 13 runs batted in.

In the Cy-Coast tournament:

Golden West 7, Canyons 6--Reuben Gulledge hit two home runs for the second consecutive game for host Golden West (10-3). He has five homers this season.

Cypress 11, Southwestern 2--Ulises Cabrera had three hits, including a triple, and drove in four runs and Cory Sullivan a single, double and a triple and drove in two for host Cypress (10-1).
