Titans Extend Winning Streak in Baseball to 9

Chris Beck hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning, leading Cal State Fullerton to a 5-2 victory over Alabama Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The victory was the Titans’ ninth straight, improving their record to 10-3.
Beck’s home run, his second this season, broke a 2-2 tie.
Winning pitcher Adam Johnson (3-0) struck out nine in 6 1/3 innings, giving up six hits, three walks and two earned runs for Fullerton.
Alabama is 6-4.
At the Big West Conference men’s and women’s swimming finals at Belmont Plaza:
Earley finishes second--UC Irvine’s Arika Earley was second (489 points) in the three-meter diving event. The competition concludes today.
In Big West Conference men’s tennis:
UC Irvine 5, UC Santa Barbara 2--Thomas Bohun defeated Cory Guy at No. 1 singles, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6, in the decisive match for visiting Irvine (7-1, 2-0).
