Mack Votes for Booker Over Ebell

Just who is the best running back in Ventura County?
Tyler Ebell of Ventura High, right?
Not according to St. Bonaventure Coach Jon Mack. His vote is for Seraph junior Lorenzo Booker.
“Nothing against what Tyler has done,” Mack said. “He’s got a great offensive line and obviously they’re doing some things right. But Lorenzo has done what he has in 150 fewer carries than Tyler.”
Actually, Booker has 176 fewer carries. He has 2,740 yards and 40 touchdowns in 196 carries and averages 14.0 yards per carry.
Ebell has a national-record 4,218 yards and 61 touchdowns in 372 carries. He averages 11.3 yards per carry.
Ebell has racked up his yardage against tougher competition. Ventura is in the Division IV Channel League while St. Bonaventure is in the small-schools Division XI Tri-Valley League and played only one opponent below the Division VII level, 0-10 Crespi.
