Nevada 67, UC Irvine 63--The Anteaters’ comeback was thwarted as Terrance Green made a late jumper and two free throws to help the Wolf Pack (3-9) to victory in a Big West opener before 5,202 at Reno.

Terrance Green, nephew of the Lakers’ A.C. Green, scored 30 points for Nevada. For Irvine, Jerry Green scored 25, seven in a 16-5 run that helped the Anteaters (7-5) gain a tie at 51 before Terrance Green’s late heroics.
