Deal by Irvine Nursery Completed

Commercial nurseries operator Hines Horticulture Inc. in Irvine said Tuesday that it has completed the acquisition of an Arizona producer of quality bedding and holiday plants in the Southwestern United States.
Terms of the purchase of Willow Creek Greenhouses Inc. in Chino Valley were not disclosed.
Willow Creek has become the primary supplier of bedding plants to the Arizona marketplace. It serves independent garden centers, home centers, mass merchandisers and resorts throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Utah and Nevada, generating annual sales in excess of $10 million.
Hines Horticulture, which operates commercial nurseries throughout North America, produces one of the broadest assortments of container-grown plants in the industry and sells them primarily to the retail market through independent garden centers as well as leading home centers and mass merchandisers, like Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart, Kmart and Target.
