A Look at the 3 Hopefuls in L.A. 11th District Race
- Share via
Three candidates are running in the Los Angeles City Council’s 11th District, the only open seat in the March 8 election. The incumbent, Cindy Miscikowski, cannot run because of term limits.
The candidates -- Flora Gil Krisiloff, Angela Reddock and Bill Rosendahl -- largely agree on many of the district’s problems, including the preeminent one: gridlock. In their campaigns, however, they are trying to sell themselves to voters as the one candidate who is best qualified to do the job.
The Westside district includes West Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Mar Vista, Venice and Playa del Rey.
A candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote to win the council seat outright. Otherwise, the two candidates who receive the most votes will face each other in a May 17 runoff election.
