Boy, 4, Woman Die in Apartment Blaze

A four-alarm fire gutted a Detroit apartment building, killing two people and injuring at least 11 others, authorities said. Some of the injured suffered broken bones when they jumped out windows.
Firefighters said the blaze started at about 6:30 a.m. and spread quickly, producing flames and thick smoke.
A 4-year-old boy died from smoke inhalation after being rescued and a 30-year-old woman died in the blaze, officials said.
