6 Teenagers Arrested in Rape of Girl, 13, at Pico Rivera Park

Police arrested six teenagers Tuesday for investigation in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in the women’s restroom at a Pico Rivera park, and more arrests were possible, authorities said.
The girl was attacked about 11:30 a.m. on July 6 at William A. Smith Park, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives arrested one unidentified adult and five juveniles Tuesday. Their ages ranged from 16 to 18, sheriff’s officials said.
The girl was walking home when she accepted a ride from four males, one of whom she said she knew, authorities said.
