Lennon’s fight will become film

The long effort by the late John Lennon to become a legal resident of the United States will be the subject of a documentary by David Leaf, John Scheinfeld and Steve Ligerman for Lions Gate Films.
Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, has agreed to cooperate on “The U.S. vs. John Lennon,” which the company plans to release next year, 30 years after Lennon was granted the right to live in the U.S.
