Hit-and-Run Victim Expected to Recover

A father of three who was critically injured when a motorist ran him down in an Aliso Viejo parking lot is expected to recover, his wife said Sunday.
John Royston, 41, was still in a medically induced coma after surgery, but doctors were optimistic, Arlene Royston said.
The father of three was hit by a silver BMW late Thursday after yelling at the driver to slow down.
The car’s owner, Morteza Bakhtiari, 26, of Costa Mesa was arrested Friday on suspicion of attempted murder. Bail was set at $1 million.
