The hunger for food experiences
I thoroughly enjoyed “Appetite for Adventure” [Nov. 25]. Having traveled to 30 countries I found myself comparing gastronomic discoveries -- some delightful, some not. Here are a few of the stranger (to American tastes) foods I’ve eaten: gecko and porcupine (Vietnam), python (Thailand), fried green caterpillars (Namibia). A food’s weirdness factor just depends on what you grew up with and were exposed to.
