* at Boston 1, San Francisco 0: Manny Ramirez ended a 50-at-bat stretch without a home run and Daisuke Matsuzaka won for the first time in four starts, holding the Giants to three hits in seven innings.
* at N.Y. Yankees 11, N.Y. Mets 8: The Mets mounted a rally against Mariano Rivera in the ninth and scored twice -- the first runs he has yielded in 10 appearances. But Carlos Beltran fouled out with the bases loaded for the final out.
* at Philadelphia 6, Detroit 3: Jamie Moyer, 44, outpitched 22-year-old rookie Andrew Miller, giving up four hits and two runs in seven innings. Miller yielded four runs -- three earned -- and seven hits in six innings.
* at Toronto 7, Washington 3: Vernon Wells hit a two-run shot and drove in a season-high four runs, and Shaun Marcum improved to 3-0 with a 2.38 earned-run average in seven starts since joining the rotation May 13.
* Atlanta 6, at Cleveland 2: Edgar Renteria went five for five with a homer and drove in two runs for the Braves. The Indians’ Casey Blake extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
* at Houston 9, Seattle 4: Craig Biggio hit a three-run homer to back Woody Williams’ solid outing. Williams (3-9) went 6 2/3 innings and yielded four runs and eight hits. He retired 12 of the first 14 batters he faced.
* at Cincinnati 8, Texas 4: Ken Griffey Jr. and former Dodger David Ross each homered twice for the Reds, who scored all of their runs off five homers.
* Chicago White Sox 6, at Pittsburgh 1: Mark Buehrle scattered nine hits over eight innings, Josh Fields hit a two-run homer and the White Sox ended a four-game losing streak.
* Arizona 8, at Baltimore 4: Scott Hairston hit the first of three home runs off Daniel Cabrera, and the Diamondbacks dealt the Orioles their seventh straight loss.
* Florida 9, at Kansas City 8: Miguel Cabrera homered twice and drove in four runs for the Marlins. He has 16 home runs, second to Alex Rodriguez (26) among major league third basemen.
* at Colorado 10, Tampa Bay 5: Brad Hawpe hit his first grand slam to help the Rockies move two games over .500 for the first time since April 6.
* St. Louis 15, at Oakland 6: Chris Duncan’s grand slam highlighted a 10-run fifth inning. It was the first pinch-hit slam by the Cardinals since Bobby Bonilla on June 15, 2001.
* Milwaukee 5, at Minnesota 2: Francisco Cordero got the final three outs for his major league-leading 25th save.
* San Diego 1, at Chicago Cubs 0: Carlos Zambrano lost a no-hitter with one out in the eighth inning. One inning later he lost the game on Russell Branyan’s home run.
* Angels 3, at Dodgers 0: Francisco Rodriguez struck out the side in the ninth for his AL-leading 22nd save in 23 chances.
