Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s managing partner, Michael Mallow, achieved significant legal victories in 2024. He defeated the Federal Trade Commission’s injunction attempt, which sought to ban his client from marketing products online and via telemarketing. Later, he secured a Ninth Circuit affirmation of summary judgment and class decertification in a case against Mazda. With nearly 30 years in consumer litigation, Mallow has defended companies in class actions and regulatory investigations by the FTC, DOJ, CPSC, FCC and state agencies. He leads Shook’s Los Angeles office and co-chairs its class action & appellate litigation practice. Recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 and Law360, he is also active in community and athletic initiatives, including founding the Mallow Junior/U23 National Triathlon Team to support LA2028 Olympic hopefuls.
